Thank you for your interest in the election process! The Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections is always looking for qualified Poll Worker to staff precincts throughout Charleston County on Election Day.
As a Poll Worker, you will have a unique opportunity to serve your community, meet your neighbors, and become involved in the electoral process. Poll Workers are compensated $250 and the Clerk of the Precinct receives $410 for each election they work.
In 2024, BVRE launched an exciting partnership with Vet the Vote, a national initiative that recruits veterans to serve as poll workers during elections. “Operation: Civic Duty” seeks to provide local veterans with opportunities to serve their neighbors once again. We want these heroes to use their distinctive skills, their unwavering commitment to their country, and their leadership experience to help maintain the integrity of elections in Charleston County. We invite all who are interested to apply through the Election Worker Portal
