Charleston Center has relocated to the Teddie E. Pryor, Sr. Social Services Building at 3685 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.
Charleston Center is not currently accepting patients for walk-in assessments. Assessments and ADSAP Intakes are available by appointment only by calling the Helpline at (843) 722-0100.
Charleston County's Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS), more commonly known as Charleston Center, is a substance abuse prevention, intervention, education and treatment center.
The Mission of Charleston Center is to help the residents of Charleston County live productive lives, free from the impact of alcohol, other drugs, and addictive behaviors. We promote active recovery for persons whose lives are affected by addiction.
Charleston Center recognizes that addiction to alcohol and other drugs is a chronic, progressive disease that can be fatal if left untreated. Charleston Center provides the following programs and services, which have received Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Three-Year accreditation:
