With the help of federal funds, Charleston County Government trimmed hazardous limbs on 127 trees on two highly traveled Johns Island roads. The work is a result of $21,000 in grant funds that the County received from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) Financial Assistance Program for Forest Health Enrichment administered through the S.C. Forestry Commission and funded by the U.S. Forest Service.
