County drains are now available for adoption as part of the City's Adopt-a-Drain program!
The Adopt-a-Drain program allows local citizens or organizations to "adopt" a storm drain to help protect their nearby drains from unwanted debris, pollutants or blockages. This program helps to ensure neighborhood drainage systems work as efficiently as possible by keeping the surface of drains clear of leaves and litter debris blockages, which simultaneously protects water quality.
Check out the City of Charleston's Adopt-a-Drain website for more information or to participate in the program.
The Adopt-A-Block program is a volunteer-based initiative where groups and individuals agree to monitor and maintain small sections of roadways on a regular basis, within the City of Charleston limits. A core focus point for the City of Charleston is to preserve and protect the neighborhood livability and resident quality of life that makes our city so special.
Check out the City of Charleston’s program page for more information or to participate in the program.
The Adopt A Park program allows groups of five or more volunteers to adopt a section of a North Charleston park. Through this program, businesses, park users, and community groups can take an active role in protecting and enhancing neighborhood parks within the City of North Charleston!
Check out the Keep North Charleston Beautiful website for more information or to participate in the program.
